KraftPal Deploys the First Fifth-Generation Palletonator™ to Finland, Launching Europe's Next Generation of Sustainable Pallet Manufacturing

KraftPal Technologies has reached another major milestone in its international expansion with the successful deployment of the world's first commercial fifth-generation Palletonator™ to Lempäälä, Finland.

Manufactured in Slovenia and transported to KraftPal Nordic's production facility, the new automated manufacturing platform represents the first commercial installation of KraftPal's latest production technology and marks the beginning of a new generation of sustainable pallet manufacturing in Europe.

The deployment demonstrates KraftPal's strategy of building a decentralized global manufacturing network capable of producing sustainable corrugated pallets close to customers while maintaining globally standardized engineering and production quality.

Europe's First Fifth-Generation Local Production Unit

The Finnish facility becomes the first Local Production Unit (LPU) equipped with the fifth-generation Palletonator™, capable of producing up to 1.5 million corrugated pallets annually.

The production platform combines:

  • Fully automated manufacturing.

  • Industry 4.0 technologies.

  • Intelligent production management.

  • Modular factory architecture.

  • High-speed robotic production.

  • Standardized global manufacturing processes.

The facility will initially serve customers throughout Finland, Sweden, Norway and the wider Scandinavian region, where sustainability objectives continue driving demand for environmentally responsible logistics solutions.

Supporting Scandinavia's Sustainability Leadership

The Nordic countries have long been recognized as global leaders in environmental responsibility and circular economy initiatives.

KraftPal's corrugated pallet technology directly supports these ambitions by providing an immediate alternative to disposable wooden pallets.

Compared with conventional one-way wooden pallets, KraftPal solutions offer:

  • Up to 80% lower transport weight.

  • Up to 80% lower transport-related CO₂ emissions.

  • Fully recyclable fibre-based construction.

  • Hygienic, residue-free transport surfaces.

  • Lower handling and logistics costs.

  • Seamless integration into existing warehouse operations.

These benefits help manufacturers accelerate their ESG strategies while improving operational efficiency across their supply chains.

Founder Perspective

Gregor Brajović, Founder and CEO of KraftPal Technologies, described the deployment as a defining milestone in the company's global manufacturing strategy.

"Today represents much more than the delivery of another production system. It is the first commercial deployment of the fifth-generation Palletonator™ and demonstrates that our vision of decentralized, intelligent manufacturing is becoming reality."

"By producing sustainable pallets closer to customers, we reduce transport distances, strengthen supply chain resilience and enable companies to accelerate their transition toward lower-carbon logistics. This is exactly how we envisioned the future of global pallet manufacturing."

Regional Manufacturing Begins

Martin Wichmann, Managing Director of KraftPal Nordics, welcomed the arrival of the new production platform.

"The installation of Europe's first fifth-generation Palletonator™ represents a major milestone for KraftPal Nordics. This technology allows us to manufacture large volumes of high-quality corrugated pallets while maintaining outstanding production efficiency and environmental performance. We are excited to begin serving customers across Scandinavia with locally manufactured sustainable transport solutions."

Building a Global Manufacturing Ecosystem

The deployment in Finland forms part of KraftPal's long-term strategy of establishing regional production facilities across Europe, North America and the Middle East.

Each Local Production Unit operates using identical engineering standards, automated manufacturing technology and quality systems, ensuring consistent products regardless of geographic location.

Supported by significant international investment and growing customer demand, KraftPal continues expanding its manufacturing footprint to deliver sustainable transport packaging at industrial scale.

The official launch of the Finnish production facility was scheduled for 21 June 2023, marking the beginning of commercial operations for Europe's first fifth-generation Palletonator™.

As KraftPal continues deploying advanced manufacturing platforms around the world, the company remains focused on one mission: transforming global logistics through intelligent engineering, sustainable manufacturing and locally produced innovation.

The future arrives on a KraftPal pallet.
